TOO MANY HURDLES WHEN SELLING TO DOD? TELL THEM ABOUT IT!

One month remains for government contractors to get their comments into the Section 809 DOD Acquisition Review Panel.  Panel members are looking at a wide range of DOD acquisition issues.  Most recently, they’ve been meeting with companies that won’t do business with DOD because of the proliferation of specialized requirements.  Even if you do business with DOD now, they should know if you have issues that make it tough for your company to do DOD business.  Anything that increases your costs – and theirs- is particularly important.  Supporters of the GSA Schedules program and other non-DOD IDIQ contracts should also highlight the benefits to DOD of using these programs.  The panel has set a deadline of September 15th to receive input and will focus on writing their final report, due at the end of the calendar year, after that.  The report will have an impact on your future DOD business in ways either small or large.  It’s important that contractors understand what’s happening.   To submit comments and find out what the panel is up to, see the link here:    https://section809panel.org/
